Learning about Mechanics

Mechanisms are essential to robot design.  Mechanisms are used to transform forces and motion in a controlled way.  So what's a good way for young people to learn about them?  We have recently discovered the Engino Mechanical Science kits.  We purchased both the Linkages kit and the Cams and Cranks kit.   Kits come with building instructions for several models as well as an informative activity book.  We purchased them on Amazon.com.  Kits range in price from around $20 to $30. We have uploaded a couple of videos of the Engino models to our YouTube Channel. Check them out!
